Hello list,

I understand the roman number like IV, V, VI, X, XI reflects the
number of voices, size & complexity of the Morino Artiste accordions.

Does somebody knows what ist the meaning of the different letters
like D, N, S ... associated with the same roman number ?
What are the differences between a VI-D, VI-N and VI-S Morino ?

Regards,
JC

Looking at some older hohner accordions the letters after the roman
numerals sometimes denote the model only (eg. the Morino 1VM became the
1VN) Both 41/120 piano accordions but slight changes in design. On the
other hand Hohner seem to have used the letter after the roman numerals
in some cases to indicate a fundemental design change eg. The Artiste
X1 with a D added denotes a free base system. (one of these is
presently for sale on UK eBay)

The Morino VI-N has double cassotto, 185 basses, 5 treble voices, and
extended (45 keys) keyboard. I don't know the Morino VI-S, but I guess it
is basically the same accordion with standard 120 basses and 41 keys. Now, I
have no idea what can be the MORINO VI-D, if it exists.
