All I know is it's united accordion with case, keyboard has about 24 keys, there are about 96 buttons. it is probably from 50s or 60s, but it's in excellent condition. I have some photos but don't know how to post them here yet. thanks!

You can't post photos here. you would have to post the photos elsewhere
and a link here.
No one could with any kind of accuracy guess the value of your accordion
without determining its condition by playing it.
It would not be possible for it to only have 24 keys, yet 96 basses.
I might have inadvertently sent this in a private message, rather than
use the "Followup" tab on the news reader. So now sending it in the group.

Can't help with a valauation from that info, but you need to count the white keys AND the black keys to describe the size: I guess it's 37

Len. Great to see your post!

If it has 24 white, would it have 17 black?

Oops, yes, that's right!

Then 41 keys, but with 96 bass?? Not so usual.

By the way, I'm still here, just google only occasionally decides to eMail me with the group posts (or there just are so few). Looking into the group 'manually' just doesn't fit into my schedule. Been very busy here with accordeon repair work for most of the past year.

Thanks for all the replies. As you can see, I am a newbie and don't know much about this instrument. Below is a link to some photos. Thanks!

Ah, a Picture is worth a thousand words: 120 bass buttons (as expected with 41 keys). And I have seen one of these before: the one I have seen had rather nice italian reeds, was in visually good condition but had a lot of worn felt and leather parts inside. So it might well need some work, but could well be worth doing.

I don't think it is worth the money to restore. unless you are an
unusually small person, and need a small accordion.
It is a student size and not a professional instrument.
if you like playing it "as is" then use it to learn on. Whatever you
spend on it will not increase its value.

When I say a student size, that would be true only if the 41 keys are
less than 18 inches from outer edge of low white key to outer edge of
key at other end. If it is 18" it is more valuable potentially than a
lesser size. This is not a professional sized accordion, which would
have a 19" or 19.25 inch keyboard, so it would not normally bring a 4
figure or higher price if working perfectly, unless a buyer could use it
on gigs to make money in preference to a more professional accordion.

18" is close enough to 19" to go from one size to the other size without
missing notes. Usually the 18" are a little better made than the
smaller ones.

Even the smaller 12o bass have a lot better reeds in them from that
period, than new ones now usually do.
