Djangobooks.com is a great site for Gypsy Jazz.
They have video clips of some of the greats.
Included are accordionists, Jo Privat and Gus Viseur,
in addition to Django and Grappelli. (but) The clip of
the Hot Club of Paris playing J'attendrai is one of my
all-ime favorites.

In Gypsy Wrangler news, it looks like we will be performing
at the Kimberley International Old-Time Accordion Championships
in Kimberley, British Columbia next July. I note that Scotsman
Gary Blair will be a there too. See you there, Gazza.
I am also trying to land gigs for the band in Banff
and Calgary, Alberta. The Calgary Stampede (the biggest rodeo in the
world) will be going on -can't miss that.

Wow. I love the Gypsy music of privat, Muerenna and Colombo. Will have

I agree with you. My former teacher the legendary Bernard Peiffer played
(piano) with the group when he was only 17 years old. To appreciate
Bernard's talent, you must know about Django. He never called out the key
he was going to play the song in. Sometimes not even the name of the song.
Pretty remarkable for a 17 year old.

Hi there
Sorry I missed this message first time round.
It looks like we finally meet up craig! Will look forward to hearing
the gypsy wranglers at Kimberely. I will also be playing at the Las
Vegas festival and the leavenworth festival on the same trip , so
hope to meet some others from this group.
I have also recently been booked up for the Carrefour Mondial de
L'accordeon in Montmagny, Quebec once again and am really looking
forward to catching up with BoB Alexander and Randy to name but two.
See you there!!
All the best
Gar Blair
