Off topic: How the Hell can I stop Google from being my default email from browser?

Testing my links in the Guerrini repair page, I discovered that Google
has taken over my browser when sending email from a "mailto" link. I
never authorized that, and Mozilla Thunderbird is set as the default
mail handler.
Google doesn't seem to care, and when I click on an email link on a
browser page, even if it's Firefox, my gmail account comes up and tries
to send the mail. wtf?

Not beating the subject to death, but Google was putting my browsing
history from one computer using Chrome, onto another computer in my
network even on Firefox.
I hope the EU hands them their hat on the anti-trust suit now going on
in Europe. This company is turning into a #$% virus.
